This document details various versions and updates for the 3D-printed "Top Hat" enclosure model designed to fit atop the Snapmaker U1 3D printer.
Key Features (Common across models):
Top Mounting Points: The printed parts feature a grid of M3x4x5 insert nut holes spaced 10mm apart on the top surface. This allows you to design and attach custom components like chamber heaters, electronics enclosures, or other accessories.
Cable Management:
Top: Includes holes for cable ties to organize wires.
Bottom: Features a dedicated cable pass-through hole to route cables neatly from the printer into the enclosure after installing custom components.
Cover Panels: The top and sloped top covers include finger holes. Panels secured with foam tape can be easily placed and removed as needed.
Mounting: Four mounting feet at the bottom of the assembly secure the Top Hat to the rubber packing on top of the Snapmaker U1 printer.
Material Notes: Models are designed to use standard Ø6mm x 30–40mm wooden dowel pins for structural assembly.
